The Sarganserland-Werdenberg (RSW) region held the annual delegate meeting at RhySearch on the Hightech Campus on Thursday, March 28, 2024 Buchs through. The International School Rheintal (ISR) in Buchs announces the launch of its academic scholarship program for local students.

The scholarship is aimed at academically gifted students from the region who would benefit from an international education but are unable to meet the associated economic challenges. The scholarship provides financial support for two students from grades 10 to 12 over a period of three years. By covering all school costs, they are enabled to acquire the IB diploma, which is recognized at universities worldwide. Applications for the scholarship program are now open and the first two students admitted will begin 2024th grade at ISR in August 10.

On Wednesday, September 27th, the International School Rheintal (ISR) celebrated in Buchs the opening of their new campus and thanked their supporters and sponsor of the building, the Hilti Family Foundation Liechtenstein, at an event. 

In August 2023, ISR opened the doors of its new school building to its 180 students. This Wednesday she celebrated with around 90 invited guests, partners and sponsors of the project, the move into the “ISR Campus”, which was completed after just three years of planning and construction.

The three-story building, which is designed for up to 300 students, was designed and implemented by the Zurich architects Büro Kampfen Zinke + Partner AG. The architectural firm, which specializes in sustainable and innovative wooden buildings, won the architectural competition in 2019. 

In addition to representatives of the Hilti Family Foundation Liechtenstein, the participants in the event also included Government Councilor Beat Tinner, Deputy Head of Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Sabine Monauni, Mayor of Buchs Rolf Pfeiffer, and president of the local community Buchs, Andreas Rohrer.
